A lovely, comfortable, character barn conversion. With natural stone walls, oak beams, heated flagstone floors throughout the ground floor. Oodles of charm and character, dating original from the 17th Century, with all the advantages of modern conveniences, this is an ideal base for your exploration of the Forest of Dean and surrounding countryside.

This Lodge has 2 bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has a super king-size bed – can be split to make twin beds if required. It still retains the original beams and stonewalling. Bedroom 2 has twin beds with original beams and stonewalling. There is also an open plan lounge and dining room with a flat-screen TV, DVD, Wi-Fi and, for your comfort, reclining chair and sofa.

There is a fully equipped kitchen – including dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, cooker and hob. There is also the use of a communal freezer upon request. This cottage has two centrally heated double or twin bedrooms both with original beams, stone walls and sloping ceiling.

Large open plan lounge with original beams and stonewalling. For your comfort, there is a reclining chair and sofa. The lounge has a lovely glass panelled wall/door which makes it light and airy. It also has its own terrace with lovely views of the forest and the horse’s fields. A modern bathroom with shower over bath. It has parking for two cars.

Terms and Conditions:

Dogs must be kept on a lead at ALL times when on the premises

Bikes are NOT permitted in the accommodation however, there are lockable anchors outside each lodge. We also have a bike shed.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation booking fees can only be guaranteed if the lodge is cancelled with a minimum of 10 weeks before the date of arrival unless we are able to re-let.

Use of the Hot Tub, Sauna & Gazebo

The hot tub, sauna & gazebo for Danby Latimer and Kensley Lodges are bookable by the session and separately and are chargeable. Lessons are two hours long and they include robes, gazebo, hot tub, sauna, plastic glasses and a lesson on how to use everything. The sessions are £30 and are 2 hours long. Children under five are not permitted in the hot tub or sauna for health and safety reasons.
